If you shoot in Plymouth/need a model there. I'm up for it, or even somewhere close to Plymouth
If you can sort the location then its a date. Will have to be early February for TFCD, unless you’re in a hurry for any competitions/ publications in which case I can negotiate something reasonable.
p.s. Love the snake bites. I hate that everyone always thinks you’re copying someone else. If I dye my hair red I’d be copying cervena fox, orange - ulorin vex, pink - skin. etc. Come on people there are only 7 colours in the rainbow!
While I was hoping for a mob of alt girls to shoot I know not many people can make it in the middle of the day. So I was super-happy to have Ginni and Danni to shoot. I shot the girls singularly because Ginni hadn’t been able to go home so pretty much had just the clothes on her back (very much want to steal her high tops) while Danni had brought a couple of outfits and some jewellery. (I will get round to shooting some g/g and group stuff eventually.)
The cheap lights I’d rigged worked well and I was able to clip one onto my tripod. And my flash was working well but towards the second half of the shoot was making suspicious noises ‘eeeeeeeeeeeeeewerblewerblewerble’.
Am also in the midst of arranging a shoot with the Diva that is Jimmy Monroe aka jaguar fierce. Which Goddess help me might be filmed. (Do not want the world to see how bossy I am behind camera) Also arranging a shoot with Paris it’ll be her first time but she’s gorgeous, so I’m not worried.
So my shoot tomorrow will be cancelled if the tog’s car isn’t up and running. If you were to look in my diary you wouldn’t be able to see the dates and appointments for all the scribbling out. Definitely more cancellations than anything else. What with my clothing addiction I’d usually spent the money promised to me, then hear the shoot wasn’t happening a day or two before. Rant over.
Today I went to Trago Mills (which I actually love) to pick up some cheap lights. Yes they need wiring and could do with stands and barn doors but I’m on a shoestring budget (well in the red and doing my best Ostrich impression) so we’ll have to see.
I model part time under the name Sky Valentine and occasionally write under Sky Gazzard. I’ve also started taking photos under the company name Kohl-Framed Images.
In my blog I’m hoping people will be able to follow me from my starting point here while I take baby steps into the industry of visual media. Of course I can’t promise that I’ll make it big or make it at all, in which case this will moreover serve as a ‘how not to do it’ guide.
I’d never expect to become a celebrity or make a mint but to create beautiful pictures either side of the lens for my job would be a dream.
